Do you want to change your life?
The wind is howling outside. Now, that may be a bit of an overstatement. It is windy, though. It has been windy for a couple of days; but, this is Oklahoma in late August. One thing is certain: We will have wind.
I am not a big fan of wind. My seasonal allergies are always much worse when we have winds that last for several days. For me, wind is always accompanied by a headache. I’ve read lots of reasons why this is the case, some even sound plausible.
As far as problems go, wind seems like such a small thing. In fact, if I were to pause long enough to really think about it, I am sure there are many positive things about wind. If I were to think about these for any time at all, I am sure my attitude toward the minor annoyances brought on by wind would change, simply as a result of changing the way I think about wind.
That brings me to my point. How many things do you let really bug you that are like the wind? There are pros and cons about most of the things we encounter in life. How they affect us has more to do with us, than with them.
We can’t change the fact that there is wind. We can’t move someplace that has no wind. But, we can choose whether we let a little wind and the “problems” it brings get under our skin.
For people who want a better life, this is really the crux of the matter. There are so many things we can nothing about. We can’t change them, no matter how much we want to change them. People are the same way. They say and do things that annoy us. Some even cause us problems. Remember, though, we choose our attitude towards these things, these people.
Do you want to radically change your life for the better? Then I have a suggestion for you, which I hope you will try. It is simple: Change your attitude; change your life!
Let us know how that works for you.
